Takizawa Sake Brewery’s third authentic high-end sparkling Japanese sake, “Kikuzumi Hitosuji Rei,” has finally been released. Takizawa Sake Brewery’s sparkling Japanese sake has been highly praised both domestically and internationally, and the company’s sparkling Japanese sake “Kikuzumi Hitosuji” won the Sparkling Trophy, the highest award in the Sparkling category of the International Wine Challenge 2021 (IWC). “Kikuzumi Hitosuji Rei” produced by Takizawa Sake Brewery uses “Gohyakumangoku,” a rice variety from Saitama Prefecture that has been polished to a milling rate of up to 35% for raw materials, and is manufactured based on the patented manufacturing method for sparkling sake obtained in 2019 (Patent No. 6611181), which further evolved “Kikuzumi Hitosuji.” The product won the Platinum Award in the salmon and sparkling category of Kura Master 2023, one of the world’s largest sake contests alongside IWC.
